Based on the life and work of the French writer Colette, with compositions by her contemporaries, Noé Inui, Vassilis Varvaresos and actress Chiara Tissen take you through late 19th-early 20th-century France. It is a time of avant-garde, symbolism, surrealism, sexuality, scandals, variety, gender fluidity, and love – or what passes for it – but also of the Great War, anti-Semitism and crisis. Compositions by Ravel, Poulenc, Debussy, among others, that pearl, scour, deepen and illuminate alongside texts that tell us about a time that may not even be that different from today….
